New Study on Mid-Sized Contractors

The S&D Council has commissioned a new study on mid-sized contractors and how their buying behaviour has changed over the years. This study was conducted by Roger Partington of Coherent B2B. A PDF copy of the new report is available to members free of charge, for a limited time. Non-members can obtain copies of the report for a nominal fee. And the 2010 Award Winners Are...

Four industry leaders were honoured last Wednesday during the Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to the following 2010 award winners:

• CEMRA Person of the Year: Keith Maguire, Adanac Sales
• S&D Honourary Manufacturer: Micheal Kenney, Thomas & Betts
• S&D Honourary Distributor: Lance Love, BJ Electric
• EFC Industry Recognition Award: Dick Waterman, IESC (Rexel & Gexpro USA) -- award honour first announced at EFC's Annual General Meeting in April.

Golf Tournament Champions...

The S&D Golf Tournament was held at the Okanagan Golf Club, Quail Course -- a magnificent par 72, 18-hole championship course. The following are this year's golf champions:

• Low Gross Foursome: Jay Fleet, Jamie Fleet, Rick Campbell, Alison Campbell -- score of 63
• Low Gross Individual: Tony Valentini -- score of 80
• Low Gross Female: Mary Chadwick -- score of 108
